BOO

Close up picture of the letters
The table at the entry of my house
Here are some letters I made using cardboard style letters I bought from Hobby Lobby. These were priced at $2.49.....but I carefully watched and waited until I could buy them at 50 % off.
Then I bought some Halloween designed scrapbook paper. I chose 3 different designs. One for each letter. I bought those half off as well. Then I had some left over un-used ribbon and black acrylic paint from other craft projects. The little round pictures/graphics you see....like the witch on a broom, etc. are just something I googled on google images and printed off and cut out to glue on them.
All in all this project cost me about 7 dollars to make. I like to save money. You can too. If you carefully watch for sales and prepare your crafts in advance you can get all the things you need with a good discount. Especially if you have a Hobby Lobby nearby.
The letters measure 8 and 1/4 inch tall.

The Beginning

I decided I would start a brand new blog to share tutorials for seasonal crafts I make and related seasonal sewing projects. This blog is specifically to help me archive all of my Halloween Idea's:

Costumes (children and adults)
Fall/Halloween themed clothing appliques etc.
Recipes
Home decor
Local events and activities in my area (NE Oklahoma)

I love to find things that inspire me to make crafts, sew or try out new decorating ideas and yummy new recipes.

My time is limited with 6 kids and normal everyday activities. So I will try to post a few times a week to share things I find, what I'm planning to make and the projects I finish. Since I love to share my latest ideas and projects...I thought by blogging about it I would have a reference for those who ask questions like:

Where did you get that?
or
How did you make that?

I am always willing to explain things and help anyone out anytime. I thought it would be helpful if I went into a bit more detail with pictures and directions to follow as I make things incase someone really wanted to follow up on something I made that inspired them..This will make my projects and advice quickly available via internet blogging.

Out of the 6 children I have: 3 are in school and 3 are at home. I love to find new ideas for the little ones here at home to do with me so I can help them by nurturing their creativity.

I have been brainstorming all of these ideas of stuff I plan to make. Some my husband Jimmy will have to help me make. I know there will be times when I will require his assistance with some bigger projects. Since I can't use a Skil-saw or powertools...lol

Right now I have supplies I recently bought for a few things I hope to get started on this week.

I will soon begin to decorate my home with Halloween decor. We looooove Halloween around my house. My kids really enjoy seasonal decor as much as I do!

Oh and I will be doing a tour of my house and share my favorite things in the upcoming months.

I don't have any pictures to share in this first post. But I will share a link t0---> My Pinterest Account and Pinboards so you can get a look at some of the things that I am inspired by.

I have organized seasonal decor pinboards. Navagating Pinterest is very easy. If you don't know what Pinterest is well you need to go over there and check it out. Just click on that green link up a few sentences.....You can easily become addicted to it.

Seriously though, you can find a lot of new idea's and inspirations over there that can help you plan parties, decorate your house or share your own craft projects and show off your personal style (clothing & accessories).

I usually check Pinterest everyday. Let me know if you want to be a part of Pinterest and I can email you an invitation or you can request one over there on the site. But I know some people have waited 3 weeks to get an approval.

I'm ready to get things started....Gettin' my craft on wooh!
